Welcome to Kingfisher Class!

We are delighted to welcome you to Kingfisher Class, a KS2 class where learning, friendship and adventure go hand in hand.

Our mixed-age setting is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn from and inspire one another. With two classrooms to spread out into and a dedicated breakout space, every child has the room they need to think, create, and flourish.

Our teaching team is here to guide and encourage every step of the way. Mrs Cleverley teaches from Monday to Wednesday while Mrs Talbot takes the helm on Thursdays and Fridays. Supporting us throughout the week are our fantastic teaching assistants, Miss Steer and Miss Mason, who ensure every child gets the help and encouragement they need. Mr Tanner leads PE sessions every Tuesday and Miss Barlow works in class across the week to help make our learning days run smoothly.

We’re excited to explore a rich and engaging curriculum, packed with creative projects, thought-provoking topics and inspiring trips that bring our learning to life.

Ways you can help and support your children at home include practising weekly spellings, encouraging them to play games (and earn rewards) on Times Tables Rock Stars, setting aside a dedicated time each week for them to complete their online homework and listening to them read and sharing a love of books

We believe in working hard, aiming high and making the journey as enjoyable as the destination so expect plenty of fun, laughter, and memorable moments along the way.

Here’s to a year of curiosity, challenge, and adventure in Kingfisher Class - we can’t wait to get started!
