At Broadhempston, we gather for whole school asemblies twice a week.

Our Monday assembly is values based and may be linked to local, national or international days or events and our Friday assembly is a celebration assembly where we award our Courtesy Cup and Star of the Week Certificates. We also celebrate the achievments of the children that have taken place outside of school for example music exams or sporting achiivements.

The assemblies during the week take place in class and may be linked to the theme for the week or about a different issue and are often led by the children if there are school council or eco committee events taking place.

We use Picture News for one of the midweek asemblies to help reinforce the teaching of our British Values as well as keeping children up to date on current affairs.
